BEST EVER MOSCATO SANGRIA
Moscato sangria is a deliciously sweet and refreshing cocktail. It’s an infused mixture of Moscato wine, fresh berries, oranges, a hint of raspberry liquor, and topped with sparkling soda. This will sure hit the spot for your next special occasion.
Spring is just around the corner, which means more brunch and dinner parties on the calendar. And what’s a party without the perfect refreshment? Enter this moscato sangria!
This is a light and fruity play on your typical sangria, made with sweet Moscato wine, Chambord liqueur, berries and citrus. It’s easy to make and perfect for large crowds. Just mix all the ingredients in a large pitcher and serve it over ice with sparkling soda for a fizzy, festive drink.
WHAT IS MOSCATO?
If you love a sweet white wine, this recipe is for you. Moscato is derived from the Muscat grape and produced in a few different variations in terms of color, fizziness and dryness. It’s a light wine with delicious fruity and floral notes. And it has a slightly lower alcohol content, making it the perfect dessert wine or brunch time spritzer.
MOSCATO SANGRIA INGREDIENTS
- All you need for this cocktail are fruits, wine, liquor, and sparkling water. Here’s the rundown.
- Orange: Feel free to use any type of orange, but I chose a blood orange for its rich color and raspberry-like flavor.
- Berries: A combination of strawberries, blueberries and raspberries.
- Moscato Wine: All Moscato wine works, whether it be white or rosé .
- Fruity Liquor: I love Chambord as it has a black raspberry flavor that pairs well with the rest of the berries. But you can use any type of fruity liquor.
- Sparkling Water: I’m using S.Pellegrino, but any fruity sparkling water works great, even La Croix.
HOW TO MAKE MOSCATO SANGRIA
- In just 3 easy steps, you’ll have a beautiful and festive drink that’s ready to serve.
- Mix. Add all of the ingredients into a large pitcher and stir it all together.
- Chill. Let the pitcher chill in the fridge for at least 3 hours.
- Serve. Give the mixture a quick stir and fill each cup 2/3 full with the sangria. Then top it off with the sparkling water and/or add ice.
